Flipit: Discount Code Shopping!

Thursday, May 19, 2016

I'm not sure about you guys, but I've learnt to be very frugal ever since I left home and started studying in Australia. Something about the 3x exchange rate, perhaps? ;)

In my time there, I learned the value of money, the absolute magic of sales, and the delights of using a good ol' voucher code. I've brought these 'values' home with me, so I'm extremely happy and excited to be sharing with you a new site that I have been using to get myself discounts from my favourite stores.

I wanted to show you guys how it works, so I did a little shopping - all in the name of helping my readers, I say!! - on Lazada. I've been looking all over for a good quality, affordable stabilizer for my GoPro. As you guys know, I've been looking into doing more vlogs for you guys, to give you a glimpse into my daily life (though it's not as exciting as everyone thinks) and share a little bit more about myself with you, my darling viewers/readers.

I finally found one that I found affordable enough (I did my research, and boy, these stabilizers don't come cheap!), particularly with the help of my little discount code. I was ecstatic! My discount code came from a friendly website called 'Flipit', with discount codes from various Malaysian (and other international) sites. I used their 20% discount code with my husband's brand new account (note that Lazada generally only offers larger discounts to their first-time customers).

Here's the stabilizer that I ended up ordering!

The device is made by Feiyu, a Chinese brand that apparently has been making stabilizers for a while now, and has been doing a pretty good job for their price. I purchased a G4, roughly priced at RM1, 200 before discount.

Delivery was quick and painless - the seller did a great job packaging the product and providing the proper customs information.

The device comes with a handheld stick, operating instructions (yep, you're gonna have to read it to learn how to operate it first), a USB connector, connector cables, batteries, and a battery charger, as well as a warranty card.

I am so excited to be trying out my brand new stabilizer, and hopefully I know how to work it as well as the people I've been watching on YouTube. Stay tuned for more vlogs in the near future!

If you're unfamiliar with Flipit and would like to check them out, here's a little guide on how to use their website.

So once you click on 'Get Code' on the Flipit website, the code is revealed in a popup window and you're taken straight to the online store to begin your shopping. From there, just shop all you want, and then copy your discount code from the popup window to input at checkout. You want to go all the way to the payment page, where you will find a tiny little button to click to enter your code - shown below, highlighted in the red box.

Once you successfully check out, sit back, relax, and wait for your item to be delivered to your doorstep.

I hope you found this helpful, and happy shopping! x
