Red Lips and Chinese New Year Fashion

The red lip is iconic. It is the most popular lip colour, the most well-known, and women all over the world search high and low for that perfect red. I have done a post on how to find your perfect red lipstick, but a surefire way of finding the perfect red is to use a true, fire engine red. This colour is universally flattering, and gives you that bombshell, va va voom look.

I'm showcasing one of those reds today - this is the Mary Quant Lipstick in PK Red.
This colour is perfect for ringing in the Lunar New Year. I chose to wear it in a couple of different ways, to showcase just how versatile red is. You don't have to wear it with just classic outfits, because red goes with just about any style, from menswear chic to boho babe.

The Mary Quant lipsticks are a vibrant, beautiful set of creamy colours. They last for hours on the lips without fading, and maintain their creamy, pigmented colour without much difficulty.

I like using red in my outfits during Chinese New Year to bring out the red in my lips, but to make my lips pop, I wore tops with patterns and red accents instead of a block of red.

If you've been searching for the perfect red,  or if you just want to purchase a flattering red lipstick to wear over the Chinese New Year, this is a great option to keep in mind! These lipsticks retail at Muse by Watsons, in Sunway Pyramid (my home turf, so I might see you there!).

I really love that printed top Emily! It's such a more creative way to wear red for the occasion! I was really looking hard for a dark pink dress but it's difficult around this time and if it's not sold out in color, i can't squeeze my chest into the small sizes! Hope you had a good lunar new year!
