So recently, I grew my bangs out a little, and I actually really loved it, except that my hair became extremely flat and lifeless :(
I tried all kinds of products to help add some bounce and volume to my hair, and I have compiled a little product list of my favourite "volume-creators" to help anyone else who suffers from that dreaded limp hair.
L'Oreal Elvive Volume Collagen Range
I received these products in a sample bag a while back, and though I was skeptical, I decided to try them anyway. I was really pleasantly surprised - I started seeing some volume in my hair! What I was really worried about when I started using this shampoo was that there might be a change-off between my roots and my ends. With most volume-building shampoos, you have to be very careful that the shampoo doesn't strip your hair, because you can end up with extremely dry ends. This shampoo didn't strip my hair at all, and yet still managed to deliver quite a bit of volume to my hair.
The Root Lifting Spray is another absolute beauty, and I was actually more impressed with this than I was with the shampoo and conditioner, if that was even possible. It is light, doesn't weigh the hair down, and you don't even need a blowdryer for this product to take effect - perfect for someone like me who doesn't like to bother with heat styling!
Batiste Dry Shampoo
Oiliness is a major volume-killer, but washing your hair too often can also strip essential oils from your hair. Recommendations vary from washing your hair every other day, to washing only once or twice a week. In between washes, you can keep your hair looking (and smelling) good with dry shampoos. My absolute favourite are the Batiste Dry Shampoos. They are affordable and amazingly effective. Even the oiliest hair is fixed with these dry shampoos. They also have an option for dark hair, and I suggest you purchase this if you have dark hair, because it makes it so much easier!
The Toni & Guy Dry Shampoo is another great product, because this dry shampoo also adds volume to your hair. It is a lot gentler than the Batiste, which also means that it is less effective at clearing the oiliness, but it does add a nice amount of volume, and smells amazing! I have actually used both the Batiste and Toni & Guy dry shampoos together, and I know it seems like a lot, but they actually worked incredibly well - I had squeaky clean hair, and there was some nice volume going on, too!
So that sums up my top volume-adding products! Do you have any failsafe products that you use to add volume to your hair? I'd love to hear more!

After I added dry shampoo to my hair regime, I don't think I could live without it - lol! I used to wash my long hair daily (coming from hot and humid Singapore, I found it hard to shake this habit) but it really can be time consuming...dry shampoo to the rescue!! I hope to try Batiste one day...
You are very welcome! The L'Oreal products are such gems - I love that they're so affordable! :)
I had a sa,ple sized batiste which i really enjoyed but i didn't like the floral smell. which one do you recommend? c:

Do you get much volume when using the dry shampoo on oily hair? Or is it most effective on clean hair? I've heard constantly great things about the Batiste dry shampoo for volume, but for some reason, I don't see that volume myself >< Xx
