Product Review and Swatches: Red Earth Illusion Lights Beauty Pro Eyeshadows

Tuesday, July 26, 2011

Hi guys! I am really excited about sharing these products with you - I got them ages ago, but never thought to share them here in the blog, which is so silly because they are such a steal! These are the Red Earth Illusion Lights Pro Beauty Eyeshadow pots.

These single eyeshadow pots are extremely pigmented, smooth as butter, and come in some delicious shades!

From top right: Burnt Caramel, Tropical Punch, Sweet Lolita

From left: Winter Beauty, After Eight, Cocoa Berry, Rose Noir, Burnt Caramel

I went a little crazy when I found these beauties on sale, because they were an amazing AUD 3 per eyeshadow pot! I got them from a shop called Coast to Coast in Melbourne Central. They sell bath & body items as well, and they have a section selling Red Earth cosmetics at discount prices - I think maybe because they've been discontinued. So if you're interested in these, get your hands on them as soon as you can! I saw them on display just a few days ago when I was walking past, so they're still there!

Winter Beauty, After Eight, Cocoa Berry, Rose Noir

Winter Beauty is an icy grey-blue colour.
After Eight is a frosty, forest green.
Cocoa Berry is one of my favourites - a beautiful complex gold/purple with a hint of mauve sparkle.
Rose Noir is a rosy brown shot through with some gold - also a beautiful colour.

Burnt Caramel, Sweet Lolita, Tropical Punch

Burnt Caramel is a golden bronze colour - a very pretty basic bronze shade that I love for everyday use.
Sweet Lolita is a beautiful frosted pink, with fine particles of shimmer. It makes a great highlight for the brow bone.
Tropical Punch isn't my favourite. It is beautiful, but it's just not my kind of colour. It is a peachy shade, also great as a highlight shade.

Please, please excuse my horrid nails in these swatch pictures! I have been running around like a headless chicken trying to keep up with my new daily 9-5 schedule, blogging, and assignmeents - so anything beyond basic personal grooming has flown out the window.

I hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know if you got any of these eyeshadows, and if you got any different colours. I'd love to see if there are any great colours I missed out on :)
