Nude Lip Series: Face of Australia Mineral Lip Shine in Beach HouseTuesday, June 14, 2011
Because I've been a little busy of late, I decided this would be the perfect time to start my nude lip series - a series featuring my nude lipsticks. I have them all photographed and will be reviewing them over the next week.
Up first is Face of Australia's Mineral Lip Shine in Beach House.
Here is what Face of Australia say:
Mineral Lip Shine combines natural mineral pigments and hydrating ingredients for lasting moisture and colour. The silky formula contains no synthetic dyes and shades range from light sheers to thicker creams
At first glance, I assumed that this lip colour would go on sheer, but it is actually quite pigmented. However, I would suggest, if you're doing a nude lip, to white-out your lips with a foundation or concealer first. The lipstick applies a pretty strong orange with load and loads of frosty shimmer.
It is pretty nice and creamy. Not too heavy, so it sits comfortably on your lips without that obvious lipstick feel.
Below is the lipstick done in an FOTD so you can get an overall idea of what it looks like: (I will be posting the rest of the pictures with the exact same makeup so the difference in lip colour and overall effect is a little more obvious. That, and it's a lot easier than doing separate looks and shooting at different times while still trying to keep the light constant ;))
Here's a close-up. Apologies for the bad close up picture, I still need to get my shooting right :)
This lipstick retails for AUD 12.95, or you can get it online at Fashion Addict for AUD 11.95 + shipping.
