Product Review: Laura Mercier Sequin Eye Colour in PeacockSaturday, May 21, 2011
Hello lovelies! I'm reviewing the Laura Mercier Sequin Eye Colour in Sequin today. I've had this eyeshadow for about 2 weeks now, and I absolutely love it!
It's not that new, but I only recently discovered it and decided I had to have it! Since I received it, I've used it again and again for nights out and special occasions.
This is a gorgeous turquoise colour with high shimmer. The flecks of glitter in it are nice and finely milled, nothing too chunky. It has slightly larger flecks of glitter in it as well, but again, they're not too big, so they impart this beautiful shimmer without being too tacky.
What I love about this eyeshadow, and what separates it from the rest is the fact that even though there are larger chunks of glitter in it, I can still apply it without having glitter flakes fall all over my face. There is close to no fallout, and the eyeshadow stays exactly where it is applied, without rubbing off or melting.
It is not as buttery as I would like (maybe that's what helps it avoid fall-down?), so I find that I have to layer on the eyeshadow to achieve the intensity that I like.
All in all, this is an amazing shadow to have for nights out, the best part is, you can use it alone, without having to fuss over blending and contouring and mixing and matching eyeshadow colours.
These are part of Laura Mercier's current permanent collection, so you can get them at any Laura Mercier counter. I got mine off eBay for $23. Love it!
