Get the Look: Bronze Kim Kardashian Inspired Prom TutorialTuesday, April 26, 2011
Hello all! I have today a Kim Kardashian inspired tutorial for prom night, and I hope you guys like it!
First off, prep and prime your face. For dry skins, use a moisturizer, and for oily/combination skins, use a primer on the oily parts of your face. Apply foundation.
Fill in your eyebrows. A waterproof eyebrow pencil would be best to ensure that it lasts throughout the night.
Pat a gold coloured cream eyeshadow onto the eyelid, stopping at the crease. I used MAC Paint Pot in Rubenesque. Start with an eyeliner flick (see how to do it in my previous tutorial). This will show you how far out to take your contour colour. I used Face of Australia Liquid Eyeliner in Black.
Take a brown eyeshadow, and place it in the crease. Take it all the way across the eyelid, ending above and slightly farther out than the eyeliner flick, so that the line, at roughly a 45 degree angle from the outer corner of the eye to the end of the eyebrow, looks straight. Then, place a shimmery gold colour on top of that brown, then blend it out. I used the medium brown and gold colours from the Face of Australia Opulent Eyes Baked Eyeshadow palette in Rich & Famous.
Your eyeliner will probably be a little bit off by now, so straighten the line with your liquid eyeliner, then line the upper and lower waterlines with a gel eyeliner. A great pencil to use would be Avon Supershock Gel Eyeliner pencil. Other great alternatives are MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack and Clinique Brush On Cream Liner in Black.
Highlight your brow bone with the lightest colour in the Rich & Famous palette, and conceal under the eye. Set everything with a light dusting of loose powder.
Apply bronzer (Face of Australia Pressed Bronzer) in a 3 shape, starting at the temples, then down underneath the cheekbones, and then onto your jawline. Apply blush onto the apples of your cheeks (Face of Australia Blush in Primrose) and blend the edge into the bronzer so there are no harsh lines.
Apply a nude coloured lipstick, and top it off with a shimmery peachy lipgloss (Milani Lip Gloss in Coral Shimmer).
Here's the end result. I hope you guys liked this tutorial!
